  1. Using big sticky headers on the top of your landing page or homepage can hinder UX as it blocks content and gives the website an uncomfortable claustrophobic look.
  2. Using thin typefaces can cause poor readability across many devices.
  3. Lowered text contrast can also hinder readability. Try to avoid it as much as possible.
  4. Scroll hijacking if done incorrectly can frustrate users and cause them to quit visiting your website altogether. Give your users the space to breathe and take charge of what they want to read and where they want to go.
  5. Carousels like slideshows displaying pictures or information can also be bad for UX, especially if the ‘next’ and ‘previous’ arrows have poor visibility or if you use dots instead of arrows that are too small to click on.
